Subject: Jesus on Mars

Some of the discussion below in re Paulsen's tales about Jesus in a spaceship brings to mind a science fiction novel by Philip Jose Farmer that came out in the late '70s called "Jesus on Mars." A synopsis: Members of an expedition to Mars discover discover an orthodox Jewish community living on the planet, followers of a man who call's himself "Jesus"; this Jesus accompanies the expedition back to earth in a sort of second coming. (There's a twist ending I won't reveal.)

An interesting and amusing book; but, you know, until I heard about this Paulsen fellow, it never dawned on me that it was based on a TRUE STORY.
