Sorry Hendrik you miss the point because you have never had the insight that Buddha was talking about. It is never what you think it is.

What is said in the text is correct but difficult to realize. Clues are found in a previous quote of the Lankavatara Sutra posted some time ago.

The world existing before Buddha was born is also correct.

Do you think Buddha was some country fool with no intellegence whatsoever, not realizing that his parents, had existed before his own birth?
