It may be perceived that if a sadhaka performs perfectly only
twelve breathing exercises as said above , his mind enters into the
interior world leaving the external attraction. This inward feeling
is called pratyahara.
The sadhaka after performing pranayama 144 in numbers arrives at
the state of spiritual concept (dharana).
The sadhaka arrives at the state of transcendental meditation after
performing 144x12= 1728 number of pranayams.
The state of trance is spontaneously achieved when an accomplisher
performs a number of 20736 pranayams.

I daresay that most people here have proved to themselves that the performance of just 12 pranayam does not lead to a state of perfect pratyahara. A minor interioirisation of consciousness there may be, but pratyahara, defines as complete withdrawal from the external world and the closing of the five senses is not so easily achieved.

In the same way, I doubt that samadhi can be achieved by the performance of 20736 pranayam, even if that were practical.

Perhaps these things are true for the advanced yogi after a lifetime of kriya practice, but not for the ordinary sadhak.
