Subject: Daya Mata PY's Successor?

When PY left his body the new president of SRF, Rajasi Janakananda publicly announced that there weren't to be anymore guru's, that in fact PY was the last of his lineage.

After Rajasi's death SRF published in the magazine the announcement that Sister Daya was elected by the board to be the new president. Included in the announcement was the statement that one should look to PY for spiritual guidance and not depend upon "personalities" within the organization (statement paraphased from memory).

Sometime in the 1970's SRF announced that now, Sri Daya Mata, was the "spiritual successor" of PY, as head of the organization. Today this isn't even questioned, at least, it seems by anyone but me.

Does anyone think it odd for the president of PY's organization, sancitity granted-possible sainthood acknowledged, to declare herself PY's "successor?" And if not why?

Not trying to rile anyone's feathers. This is something that has bugged me for sometime and I would appreciate hearing others ideas and opinions in order to gain a different perspective.

But to me it looks terrible. I mean PY's been gone for 50 years and SRF is already appointing "successors;" a clear departure from Rajasi's statement and SRF's upon Daya's appointment.
