Muktananda: "All these kriyas lead to internal purification. The passage in the sushumna nadi is cleared out, enabling the prana to travel through it without obstruction to the sahasrara. After becoming purified in this way, a seeker no longer experiences any pain or misery even though calamity or misfortune may occur. Such a seeker is contented and happy under all circumstances. Peace and contentment are not dependent on external circumstances, but on the inner state.
