Subject: New Book

I have recently purchased a book (three volumes actually) on Kriya. This is the first book in several years, other than "The Blue Cliff Record", that I am reading bits of. In the past I have tried to read other Kriya works such as those by Swami Satyeshwarananda and Ashoke Chatterjee. This book is different though in the fact that is is actually "READABLE".

It is "Spiritual Gita" by Sri Bhupendranath Sanyal, which is a commentary on Lahiri Mahashays spiritual insights of the Bhagavad Gita. This English translation is penned by a long time disciple of Sri Bhupendranath Sanyal named Mrs. Chandra Kantr Agarwala.

Although I have read very little of it, it is soon noticed that this series of books has a gentleness and warm expansiveness to it that i have found missing in other works on Kriya.

I first saw this book mentioned on Neds now closed Traditional Kriya Board, and ordered it from a New Delhi bookseller.

Getting the book was a bit of a chore but finally it arrived yesterday, and I am very pleased with what I have received.

Nothing sensational.

A pleasure.
