What is so special about Kriya Yoga? I have found that there is nothing new being taught by the Kriya "masters" that doesn't already exist in the vast field of Hinduism known as Yoga. In fact, having read the Tirumantiram (perhaps the greatest authority on Yoga) and the Hatha Yoga Pradipika and the Yoga Sutras (an incomplete Yoga work) the Gheranda Samhita and others, it seems that what is called Kriya Yoga is just a hodge podge of Yoga techniques taken from here and there, mixed with this and that, but there is really nothing new or unique in Kriya Yoga that isn't already a part of the greater Yoga tradition of India. Is there anything in Kriya Yoga that is unique to it and isn't found somewhere else?
