21 Jun 1979, presenting minister = Bro. Anandamoy.
(Disclaimer: Anything below that seems
unclear is solely due to my note taking.)
Question: Would it be
better not to have children now, if big world upheavals are
coming?
Answer: Souls come into the world with individual
karma which influences their life span. Don't worry about it.
Q: Is SRF teaching same
thing as Transcendental Meditation?
A: No. Kriya is raja yoga - transcends human
limits.
Q: In meditation, is it
better to give love to God or to Guru?
A: They are not in conflict. Not in competition.
Are same. Guru is image of God, emblem of God.
Q: What is meant by the
injunction against gift receiving given by Patanjali?
A: In Patanjali's day only the priests were
educated. Meant priests shouldn't accept gifts given to influence
what they taught, that would corrupt purity of their knowledge.
Shouldn't be paid, or could be tempted by money to alter their
teaching to suit the private purpose of a benefactor.
Q: How can we really live
the teaching that we should expand our love?
A: Comes naturally through expansion of
consciousness. Begin by loving those closest to us.
Q: When can we sleep less
time?
A: We've calmed & relaxed through practice of
techniques. Dissipate ourselves less - results in less need for
sleep. Until we can go at will into superconsciousness, don't
overdo it. Give the body what it needs.
Q: Is SRF only path
teaching techniques of kriya yoga?
A: No, but it was meant to be by Babaji.
Q: What is meant by
"lotus feet?"
A: Simply a devotional thought to rouse deep
feeling.
Q: How to avoid guilt
feelings when we realize we aren't doing everything Master said
to do?
A: Never doubt yourself. Never have negative
feelings about yourself. Do the best you can. Karma obstructs our
early efforts and frustrates us. By making the best effort we
can, we both overcome the karma and come into better attunement
with our Guru so he can help us more. Self-doubt is Satan's most
effective weapon. Each of us is a wave of God's consciousness,
essentially pure and perfect. Any feeling of shortcomings are
only born out of our ignorant identification with our karmically
conditioned instruments: body, mind, and feelings.

A: Teachings of SRF are
understood through meditation. Wisdom comes out of application of
the SRF teachings in our daily lives. The apparently complex
teachings become very simple the closer we come to God.
