I checked in "The Holy Science" last night, but I forgot to take down the exact words. Sri Yukteswar is refering to one cycle of 24,000 years which he claims is caused by the Sun taking one distant star as it's twin and orbiting around it. He claims that this is the cause of the procession of the equinox. These are not two separate cycles.
