Only because Yogananda was not teaching mysticism. He was teaching yogic science. So Burbank probably was impressed with Yoganandas approach to many aspects of life. There need not be a contradiction in any way with Burbank and Yogananda and Yoganandas' report could have indeed been correct and accurate.

If I understood you correctly, your conclusion was that Burbank was science and Yogananda was mysticism, and there must have been some type of reporting error on Yoganandas part..for whatever reason.
