Dear Mike,

I have had on occasion used "spiritual" techniques to arrive at scientific information that was not known to me at any time. (that I can remember.)

In one case I remember being faced with a structural joint problem which was particularly difficult to solve. The structural engineers on this project were the top people at Ove Arup, including the head engineer for design and construction of the Sidney Opera House. Over Arup engineers were unable to come up with a solution. With my conscious mind I was unable to come up with anything as well.

Using a special technique (which shall remain nameless as I cannot reveal it) I not only "was given" a solution but even received the way in which the physical design (an unusal high strength friction bolt design) should be calculated. Ove Arup engineers thought it was a brilliant solution to the problem but in their calculations they came up with a somewhat more expensive and elaborate solution to the one I proposed to them. Indeed they questioned my calculation. To resolve the issue we agreed to send 30 to 50 (I don't remember exactly the number) sample units to a laboratory for destructive testing. The results agreed with my calculation and the project went ahead using "my" design. Two buildings at the National Motor Museum in Beulieu, England use the approach and are still standing 30 years later.

I have had many other examples of this sort of thing happening. I can only comment on my personal experiences on this issue. Based on my limited spiritual development compared with others, I would not be surprised if Yogananda was able to do the same sort of thing on many technical subjects.
