There is a letter to his brother in Feb 1952 published in the book Mejda in which Yogananda writes "life is ever ebbing away" or something similar, and this seems to be underlined (hard to be sure as it's written in Bengali). Sananda Lal Ghosh cites this as being an indication that Yogananda knew his passing was near, but from the context of the letter this is by no means clear.

To establish for sure if any such letter or publication exists would require research facilities well beyond what any of us have available
