Jan, thank you for your terrific web site on the Golden Horseshoe! As author of the top-selling novels, HIDDEN MICKEY, (and former Cast Member from the 70's and 80's), I loved reading about the show and cast you assembled. You list King Edward I as your 23 g-grandfather. He is my 22nd g-grandfather. There our tree split. I am decended from his sister Joan of Arce Plantagenet.

I have just started my geneology search and typed in my Great Grandfather's name. I guess we are related, but I'm not sure as what, cousins? My grandfather was the eldest child of Julian and Mary, Henry Joseph. I have the same family photo that you posted, but I'm not sure what name goes with what face. I have several obits for the siblings. I didn't have a pictue of Julian and Mary together, but it looks very similar to their pictures in the family portrait. I also have a geneolgy paper that was written by someone related to one of the other siblings. It goes back to when the first of our relatives immigrated to Canada. Perhaps we could exchange some information. Waiting to hear from you.

mickey and minnie plastic 8 1/2 inch dolls.minnie her dress has 2 snaps and the tag says made for walt disney distrubuting co.and there is a flordia address i cant read then it says walt disney productions made in hong kong stock no.0223-3001 minnie mouse the shoes can be removed and also the red plastic bow in minnies hair can be removed.if any one knows anything,and then the pictures are on a hard board they seem to older then the dolls

I'm in possesion of a Bradley Mickey Mouse watch.
This is I believe is a very rare Mickey Mouse Watch prior to 1970. On the back of the case is stamped the number 196 under the stamps of Base Metal, Swiss Made. This watch is in "good" condition and not working order at this time. The face reads:
at top: Bradley with Mickey's ears to the right side. "Mickey Mouse" from the 9:00 position to the 3:00 position. And below that Swiss Made and below that Walt Disney Productions.
I saw a similar watch for sale on EBAY in excellent condition for $7800.00 !

The stem is intact, missing the knob. It is able to wind the hands to the correct time, but doesn't run.
The face has lots of scratches..............is this worth anything at all?

Saw the Billies on Dec 6th, sat in front and my lucky mom got a kiss from Elvis Billy (Kirk), right on the mouth ! She's 84 years old !

WOW!!!! It must have taken you years of research to go back so far on your line. As far as my father can get is 1796 when Thomas Cole (1767-1840) came over from England. I have alot of research,censes, wills and obits he e-mailed me. Do you know if James II last name was Cole? On the Wimborne Minster Christenings from 1670-1719 shows Mary (B.24/Mar/1714/5) and Martha (B.18Sep1719) daughters of James Cole?) God bless and Merry Christmas

I read a message on line specific to mine about the value of the vintage ingersoll mickey mouse watch. My wwatch was given to me as a child by my parents. I am now 63 and so the watch must date back to the 50's or 40's. Please if you could give me some info on the possible value or how i could find out. Mary Shaffer

Hi Jan, I got your message on my blog awhile back and sent you an email but since I haven't had a response I thought would try this. Sounds like you have been busy and had some crazy trials your self. I hope everything is going well for you now. We are still trying to climb back up the hill in our roller coaster life (I am anxiously awating the click, click, click that lets us know the car is going back up). At least when its over I will be able to look back and say " That was a heck of a ride". Anyways I would love to keep in touch so if you get this message please let me know. I am the great grandaughter of Felix Caillouette, Father Fexix, grandfather Joseph. My Father's name was Bernard Vivian Trudeau. His Mother was known as Nettie Caillouette, daughter of Felix and Victoria Martin Caillouette. I want to thank you for all the time and effort it must have taken to give me background on the Caillouette family. I was grateful for all the historical background you put into the Kankakee county and the early French settlers. I see that you live in Huntington Beach, California. I live in Lake Forest, Ca. ( Orange County) and was surprised to see that one of the Caillouette's is buried right across the street from me in the Catholic cementary on Trabuco Rd. I know a great deal about the Trudeau's and now thanks to you about the Caillouette's but I know nothing about my great grandmother Victoria Martin other than she married Felix and the names of their children. I would like to know more about the Martin's and Victoria's mother's maiden name. I do know that her name after marriage was Caroline Martin( Victoria's mother). It is obvious that you have experience with genealogy and was hoping for some tips. Also which service do you think is most useful genealogy.com or ancestry.com. I have limited subscriptions to both and am now ready to make a bigger investment. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you again for the dedication it took to put together your web site it is such a gift to all of us that want to know more.

My wife has had this Mickey Mouse watch in her possession for many years and she has asked to me to do a little research on it and see if I could determine its value.
It is original and is in excellent working order, the face, dial, hands, and crystal all appear new. The crystal measures about 3/4" across.
The case has no scratches or dents.
Overall it is in excellent condition with the exception of the original leather band which is aged and cracked.
It has Ingersoll written on the face just to the right and at about chin level to Mickey's head. Also © Walt Disney Productions at the bottom under Mickey's feet.
Thank you for any assistance you can provide in this matter or perhaps you would be able to point me in the right direction?

I have a MM watch purchased by my wife between 1955 and 1965. Base metal bezel/stainless steel back. Yellow shoes--orange hands--facing left--above ears..Disneyland--curved MICKEY and MOUSE on either side of figure--under shoes...17 jewels--under numbers on bottom...© Walt Disney Productions--tail curls over numeral 5--black second hand--has Hong Kong stamped on case under one of the pins. Manual wind and seems to keep excellent time. Can someone tell me if this watch has any value...thanks doanjoe@bresnan.net
