Keyboard locked up. Here is the continuation...
I had my prescription refilled. The new bottle said to take Strattera in the mornings. I took 40mg instead of 100mg one day and then went back to 100mg, but took it in the mornings instead of evenings. Fifth week sucked about like the fourth. Which takes me to the present where I have enough motivation to post on this forum, but only slept for 3 hours. I feel fine right now, but I expect to be wiped out after a few days on short sleep.

I have been searching the internet for advice on coping with my sleep deprivation on Strattera. So far, this forum has been the only promising hit. Keep this thread alive. I am sure that posting our experiences with Strattera will be helpfull to everybody.

For those with serious ADD symptoms, I would advise you not to take any other ADD prescription meds with Strattera without making your Doctor investigate the potential side effects.

I too have only found this message board as promising re: our sleep problems ... I sleep 4 hours, awake and super functional for 2 hours, then 1 hours of agitated attempts to fall asleep, 4 hours of half-sleep = 13 hours of the day gone!!!

Then I have to deal with life on a substandard drained eye hollowed day!

But I do have to say that Strattera does help me concentrate better. I can work intensely for 45 min instead of 15 minutes (my usual ADD self)

I am currently on 80 mgs of strattera. I have always been a poor sleeper. Each time I am told to step up the milligrams of Strattera I sleep well for a few days and then I am back to the usual tossing, turning and sleepless nights.I have also found that my dreams are very intense, vivid and realistic when I increase the milligrams of Strattera. As far as daytime sleepiness, yeah around 4-6 pm I could fall asleep watering the plants I'm so tired.
Good luck
