The costume certainly has the Brazil vibe (I guess this is from the Take me to Brazil secition). It will be be one of the 10 best with some tweaking. I know Harts could have done a better job but it is hard to say anything bad about this costume because Gabby looks so georgeous in it- at least they remembered that this is a beauty pageant where we are marketing Gabby. I think the Brazilian public would love it. Top 10 in NC-YES! I am keeping my fingers crossed that the gown is a Bobby Ackberali design. I have to confess though that I was expecting Gabs' gown to be red but considering the costume is red, I now don't know what to expect. Let's hope it is a costume that has a very bold and sexy impact. As of now, I would say I am expecting a really realistic grab for a top 8 spot from Gabby if she delivers well in the prelims. However, with the right gown that really showcases her face (as well as this costume does) she could possibly crack the top 4. The rest will be up to Gabby and God after that. Presently, China is my #1 pick for the crown but I think I am being really naive about MU2011 judges being unbiased (if history is an indicator, then MUSA should be the clear favorite for the crown). In terms of a fair assessment though, MUSA is certainly not the most beautiful at this year's pageant and she looked a bit scrawny for her local finals but personally I think her appeal is that she can make a good 5 second impact in SS and gown better than most delegates. If I had to look at her face continuously for 30 secs I personally think she looses alot of appeal. So for now China and USA are the top pics for the crown, Brazil will definitely be in the top 15/16 (No I don't see any reason for her being detroned-the topless photo was obviouly for a modeling gig and it was tastefully done). I also think Angola will be up there in the top 16 along with PR. These are the 5 I am sure of. Gabby cannot take anything for granted. She has to compete and compete well during the prelims to place in the top 10 for a guaranteed top 16 placement. Truth be told, if it was just down to beauty, Gabs would be top 5 easily.
