I've been meaning to give a synopsis of my views regarding the 8 finalists. So here it goes:
June Lighbourne:
I really do like her. It is a little difficult to estimate how tall she is, but in some photos she looks a little stumpy. She has a very beautiful face and glowing skin. However, I see a little disproportion in her figure. Maybe it's just the photos but she looks a little big on the top and narrow on the lower half making her appear top heavy.
If she were to go to Miss Universe, honestly, the highest I could see her reaching is the top ten.
Shari Dumas:
From the first few photos I had seen of her, I would have sworn by her. But in all honesty, she is no longer my top pick. When I look at all the photos of her together, they are a little too inconsistent for me. No doubt she has a beautiful face but she looks much better in photos when she doesn't smile. That cannot work for me. I do like her figure which is totally fabulous and would do well in swimsuit (needs some work on the calves), skin and all the rest are flawless, it's just the animated/ smiling face that doesn't do it for me.
I could see her making the semifinals at Miss Universe, even top 10 but the top 5 seems like a far call for me.
LaToya Woods
Except for one photo I saw of her on USA Bubble Board, this girl has impressed me most out of all of them. Her photos capture a girlish innocence, a strong beautiful and confident woman and an edgy model all in one. She has edged out Shari for me. She has a flawless, inviting and warm face, with soft features that are characertistic of not just a beauty queen but those of a beauty queen for which you would go OOOH WOW! She has the IT and the X Factor. Her chest is a little flat but she has taken consistently superior photographs. It is evident that the camera loves her and every angle is great. I want to believe that she is extremely telegenic which means that on a live stage, she will command attention and wow the judges. I am in awe that how incredibly beautiful this woman is. For me, she embodies the essence of the modern beautiful Trinbagonian woman.
If she goes up for Miss Universe, she would sail right through to the finals. She will place for sure. She has the greatest potential to win. I can smell it. She would be a hit from day one and she has that instant likeability factor. MY PICK!
Danille Prime
I admit that I did not like her with the wig, which is why it is important to see more photos. But she seems to be one of the taller ones. I am not a fan of her skin and some of the contours of her skin, a bit of adipose around the cheeks and central area of the face. But other than that, her face has a sultriness about it, quite demure and understated. She does look quite seductive and engaging. Her photos are consistent. Her figure is fine, but overall, because she is not one of the prettiest ones, she would not be my pick.
If she is chosen, I think she can make the semi finals, but with Trump choosing 6 and the preliminary judges choosing 9, this one would be a gamble as I wouldn't bet on her to make the 9.
Shirlanna Singh
This chick took me by surprise. She looked quite ordinary with her hair down in the very first photo I saw. But when glammed up, the transformation was great and she looks quite regal but fierce. She looks a bit short. Nevertheless, against a host of generic latina bots, and so very few tanned women, she might very well stand out. She is no doubt a very beautiful girl. There is enough time to tone up that bod!
If she is selected, because, based on India's awful track record during this decade, she might very well be the Asian to watch out for. She would stand out among the Caribbean delegates. I can genuinely see her making the semis, and top 10 for sure.
Sarah Radday
When I saw her first photo, I wasn't impressed. I recognized that she was a beautiful girl, but her look didn't do it for me. Then she cleaned up very nicely for the swimsuit photos and I actually would have said she was my choice as she looked ravishingly beautiful, and very reminscent of the classic beauty queens of yesteryear. I felt that the combed back hair added finesse and sophistication to her already flawless face. Then I saw this picture and I felt she looked a bit harsh, at least when she smiled.
If she is picked, I genuinely could see her cracking the semis and top 10. She doesn't wow me over all the time, so I would say she certainly has the potential to be in the top 5 but I need more info to make a judgment.
Lisa See Tai
She was not one of my picks, but I admit that her follow up photos were better. She doesn't do it for me, sorry. She is no doubt pretty, but doesn't have that extra oomph. She looks like the type of beauty queen that Jamaica likes to crown, but who would do better at World than Universe.
If she is chosen, it is a hit or miss or me and that is too much of a gamble. I knew that Anya wasn't going to be selected and I get the very same vibe from this girl. She might be very articulate and intelligent, but facially, it's a no for me.
Nisa Benjamin
I genuinely like this girl. Her beauty is very understated but she is striking from the moment you look at her. She reminds me of an Angolan beauty that competed in the early 2000s. I do admit that just from the photos, she looks slightly lethargic but that is just my interpretation.
She isn't in my top 3 but I think with the right preparation she could stand a chance. I also get a keneisha vibe from her because there is something about her that draws you in and engages you. She could eitther do very well or miss the cut altogether at Miss Universe.
So, my choices are:

2. Shirlana Singh
3. Sarah Radday
4. Shari Dumas
5. June Lightbourne
6. Nisa Benjamin
7. Danille Prime
8. Lisa See Tai
