I servered in "C Battery lst LAAM" 1 MAW on Hill 327 from Oct 1966 to Nov 1967. On Nov 10, 1967 I was presented the second piece of cake for being the youngest Marine.
Names of 99% of the men I servered with have been forgotten.
The War in Viet Nam did not service back into the Public mind's till 1990, when we first went to IRAQ.
I think most Veterns whom servered in Viet Nam forgot alot due to willful blockage or just a subject the Public did not talk about for many years.
Now it is 2010. Many Viet Nam Vets are dead. I am 62 this Saturday and I will never forget.
I was also a Military Escort and took home 68.
