My father served in WWII in the South Pacific with the CBs and we thought it was the 71st Battalion. From what I'm seeing, the NMCB 71 Reunion was active after WWII. My son and I would be interested in speaking with someone who may have served with my father. His name was Raymond August Eichbauer and we have documents indicating he was at one time on the USS Young or the USS Young American. My son found a beer ration card indicating the 71st CB Battalion. Any information you can give us would be greatly appreciated!!
