Howdy Pat;

I don't have any objections to you setting up a chat room, but don't expect me to participate. The reason why is because I like to think about my answers for awhile before responding and perhaps do a little research on the side. By the time that I can come up with a reasonably coherent english paragraph, the idea that I'm responding to has scrolled off the screen hours ago.

Perhaps, I'm just getting slow and old and senile, but chat rooms always seem to degenerate into a sequence of ungrammatical sentence fragments full of spelling errors and abbreviations that only a child under the age of 16 can figure out. Not that I'm a stickler for english grammer and, indeed, make tons of mistakes myself, but because the intelligence level of conversations in a chat room have a tendency to reduce themselves down to the lowest common denominator which is (unfortunately) not all that great.

Therefore, I for one will stick with the bulletin board where I can have enough time to try to avoid making a complete fool out of myself.
