Howdy Clarence;

To locate a commercial source for medals just type "U.S. Military Medals" into a search engine and go from there. I checked out a few websites and prices range from $13 for a National Defense Medal all the way up to $85 for a Navy Cross. Purple Hearts go from $39 to $45 plus shipping and handling. Make sure that the manufacturer guarantees that the medal is up to U.S. Government standards. Although seldom displayed, every medal has a reverse side which usually contains something other than just a blank face. Most people are only familiar with the obverse side of a medal, but there are specifications for the reverse side as well.
