Hi Michael. Your right about not messing with Nam vets and most likely the vets who will be coming home from Iraq some day. However, in that now built in response to a threat is the reason so many of us have had such a hard time “fitting in” with those who stayed at home or until 9/11 never had known a war. Even with the medications I am currently taking there is still a chance I will end up in jail because of the ignorance and stupidity of most people. I don’t react like other people if I’m threatened or I imply a threat from something a person does. It’s not a game for me or about getting even. It’s life or death for me, little or no chance I will have the time to see that my life isn’t really in danger. Should my meds fail when some idiot tries to push me out of my lane on the road so he or she can get to where they want to go faster there is a chance that I will put one of us into a roadside ditch or worse. I’m afraid of idiots like that not because I fear they will hurt me but because of what they might trigger me to do. This is part of the price I pay for defending other peoples “liberty”.
