Hi Deborah, Thank you for reading my story. Fran was fourteen when her brother Frank was killed. She is now fifty-one and still has a hard time talking about him. I guess the pain just really doesn't go away with time. I think of the friends I lost during the war often, about them not growing old like myself, or not being fathers and grandfathers like me.
