Subject: The Worm

Hello, Mr. Dean. My name is Amanda. I've been assigned a school project in which, my peers and I read war-stories and post five comments. I read your work entitled "The Worm". I found it very interesting, the worm sounded like something out of a horror movie. My studies made it seem like time spent away from combat was uneventful. I have afew questions. First, what inspired you to write about the incident?
Did the Veitnamise boy who had the worm in him survive?
Did you get to meet him?
