I'm not sure if one can produce a war movie and make it worthwhile.Of those movies you mentioned above, none portrayed the Vietnam I was in. Various scenes taken out of context are snapshots of Vietnam. However most movies about Vietnam are stereotypical and of little meaning. The object of a movie is to make money and to do that requires scripts that the masses will enjoy/relate to etc. I don't thonk that is possible to do and remain accurate
