Yo Guys. I've been knocking around the board for a long time. Mainly because I do not have a life. (smile) Bout 5 or 6 tours back I was searching for some site to do with the Nam War. This was the first one I came across and it had quite a bit of interaction on the board in those days which has quieted over the past two years. Regarding the Nam War Vets, the net is tricky biz. I learned rather quickly that some are playing GI Joe. To really personalize the experience of War, it has shades of grey with no absolutes. The monitoring is rather good here which gives the real Vets comfort. However I visit here regularly and do not be mistaken, I adhere to no certain political agenda, not back then in Nam, and most certainly not today.

I enjoy reading real thoughts about ones experience over there. If the Iraq War doesn't hit you square in the gut, then I wonder where you were? It is the first major engagement since the Vietnam War and most definately has an effect on Vets. All I really get out of coming here is exchanging verbs and nouns with guys like Larry or some one who wants to compare notes. I've touched base with some of my former comrades in arms, but reaching out in space, like here, gives one pause to express themselves like no other venue. A chat room would involve Joe, Larry, and me (Moe).

I think the give and take between Vets here is much more informative than looking for Cpl. Ed, or some of the other messages with no responses. But have no doubt, I will always speak my mind, and willing to hear your take, but please, you cannot nor will you ever influence me politcally. I'm a truth seeker not one with a set agenda.
