Howdy Beatrice;

Try leaving a message in the guestbook of the 3rd/27th Marines' homepage at http://three27.dynip.com/ . You can also leave a message at http://www.military.com/HomePage/UnitCreatedPage/1,11003,500095,00.html . So, your brother, John G. Arthur, was in Lima Co. That's a line company of a Marine Corps infantry regiment. I doubt if they had anything to do with Graves Registration/Mortuary Affairs. From what I understand, Graves Registration was handled by the Air Force prior to late 1965 and later by the Army Quartermaster Corps. If the Marines had a Graves Registration unit, it would have been under the USMC Force Logistic Command which was headquartered at Camp Jay K. Books (near Red Beach and about 8 Km. northwest of Da Nang).
