Subject: VETERANS

I was wondering if you could please answer these few questions for me. Your time and effort is greatly appreciated:

Name and Rank and Job?

How were you recruited?

Was the war different from what you had expected before you arrived? In what ways?

What was your first impression of Vietnam?

How do you feel about the outcome of the War?

What, if anything, do you feel you gained from your time in Vietnam?

Did you experience any anti-war propaganda?

Was there anything that you enjoyed while you were in Vietnam?

What did you feel was the biggest turning point in the war and why?

How do you feel the United States government handled the war?

What do you think of the Tet offensive of 1978 and what effect do you think this event had on the war?

How do you feel about the war now?

Are you feelings different from when you entered the war and now?

How do you feel about My Lai?

Did you find it a shock to return home and find the anti-war movement was as large and predominant as it was or were you made aware of it whilst in Vietnam?

How do you think the media effected the war?
