Howdy George;

Although Gloria Redlin's name appears on at least a dozen websites honoring American women who died in Vietnam (both military and civilian), I can find no additional information on her other than that which you provided already. In fact, you may be incorrect on the exact date because in one list, that date referred to a nurse 1LT whose name followed that of Gloria Redlin's, but nowhere can I find the date specified more precisely than just the year of 1969 in regard to Ms. Redlin herself.

You could try contacting the Vietnam Women's Memorial Foundation at http://www.vietnamwomensmemorial.org/pages/index2.html to see if they have any additional information. They also have a bibliography which contains the title of at least one book that is devoted to the American civilian women who served (and died) in Vietnam. You could also try contacting the Catholic Relief Services directly. Unfortunately, their website is primarily concerned with current events and not with past history.

For those who don't know, 67 women died in Vietnam (8 were in the military and 59 were civilians). About 10,000 women served in Vietnam of which about 7,500 were in the military and the rest civilian. Most of these were nurses, but there were also clerks, donut dollies, CIA agents, etc.
