------
one possible cause could be coccidiosis....
I feed an ordinary chick starter medicated with Amprolium
to prevent this.
-----
The state of Georgia, USA, has poultry labs that are free
to residents. Dead poultry can be taken or even mailed to
lab for examination. Check and see if your state has any
poultry labs. Or a veterinarian could do examination if
paid to do it.
----
some years back I had two precious green peachicks that I
thought were safe in box in my rec room. One was very
suddenly dead and the other was saved by quickly treating
with Sulmet (for coccidiosis)

Hey Karen. I just wanted to say I'm sorry you lost your chicks. It must have been a terrible shock for you. {{hug}} xxx
