Beware of the tick
because it can make you very sick!!!!!!!!!

OK, have been bitten many times by ticks and pulled them off
with no harm to anybody except for the tick. In my younger
and better days I pulled them out of my horse's mane and
tail where they caused irritation to his delicate skin.
In recent years I have pulled them off of peafowls, some
of whom needed a prednisone pill for swelling.

So when I was digging at my right ear while eating dinner
and was surprised to find an extra small tick on my
fingertip I was not alarmed. Even so I put the little
arachnid in a bottle.
Friday I went to doctor's office and finding nobody there
drove on to emergency room. Was given prescription for
antibiotic and for painkiller. It is now Monday morning and
I am still NOT well.
SO IF YOU SEE A TICK KILL IT...........

I didn't know you could get problems from ticks...well, apart from Lymes disease but I think those are deer ticks?

I hope you get well soon DCT and that the antibiotics work quickly. Any infection or swelling in the ear always seems to be extra painful - there's not much room for swelling there really is there? Horrid!

DCT, I hope you'll be feeling well soon. Those little seed ticks can cause just as much trouble as the big ones and there seem to be more and more of the nasty little buggers each year.
Follow up with you Dr. if you don't start to feel better soon.
