I have an I/B that will perch on my arm and will call to me when I go outside to come pet him which always includes a few black oil sunflower seeds.

I too am used to raising parots, and decided to raise the newly hatched peas the same way. Lots of attention and hands on. Mine are all 3 year olds now and VERY tame! Anyone can walk into their house and pet and hand feed them. If you sit down in a chair they will even jump up on your lap for some head rubs.I have a few pictures of them at --http://groups.msn.com/PeacockCrazy/karenspeas.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=860

Thank you all for your responses! So far so good with the little peachick. She seems to love attention.

I have over 30 males, one was hand raised. He must think I am a bird or he is a person. Will follow me everywhere, tame as can be. Found out the hard way after gather eggs from his hens.He attack me up side the head, then came back again.I left his pen bleeding and sore.Only does this during breeding season. This year i let him know who was boss. no more attacks. None of my other males do this. If you have a tame male watch small children around him.
