I've got 3 peacocks so far. I guess they are India blues. One is black on the underside of the body, with a couple of brown feathers in both wings. The other blue has white a white feather on each wing. Then there's the beautiful white peacock. I was sitting here looking out my window and saw him finally open up. He looks like an angel! The white seems to be the dominant one.
Originally my neighbor lady said there were five peafowl so we built a pen to accommodate five. Then the neighbor "man" says there's six not five. I hope there's enough room for all of them. I'm only penning them temporarily but, I do feel bad about penning free range peafowl but, it's for their own good.
I hear the other 3 at the neighbors calling out but, my 3 are not answering. Do you guys think it's because mine are depressed?
They seem to pace at dusk (like they want to go back to the trees they used to sleep in). I wish they would forget about it.
