Subject: The remaking of the American Male

I recently discovered a FaceBook page for an organization named The Order of Man. This organization was established to define and re-establish the practice of what it means to be a leader among men, families and community. From what I can tell by reading the posts on the Facebook page, most of the members are young men in their 20's and 30's, but that didn't stop this 70 year old from joining and posting comments based on the morals and values that I have lived by as a responsible male. From the posts that I have seen, many of the members understand the importance of their rolls as husbands and fathers. Unfortunately, some FB posts are made by immature boys who seem to think that women are not much more than sex objects. As I understand it, the founder of the organization realized the need for this movement when he recognized that boys were being feminized and their needs were being ignored by the Leftist public educational system. He saw that many boys had little or no male leadership and therefore were growing up without the life-skills, morals and values of involved and evolved men. He saw the need for this forum because many American males were failing in their leadership roles because they themselves never understood or defined to themselves what it meant to be an American male.
