Obituary for William Doran

William D. Doran, 78, a retired United States Air Force colonel, passed away August 23, 2016. Mr. Doran was born July 4, 1938 in Chihuahua, Mexico to William and Carmen Doran. William is preceded in death by his first wife, Birgit Doran, who passed in 1982. He is survived by his wife, Carmen Doran and his daughters, Carmen Dicello and Stephanie Madrid. William served in the United States Air Force from 1963 to 1986. He earned a Bronze Star in 1970 for his services in Vietnam. A Visitation will be held Monday, August 29, 2016 at 5:00 p.m., followed by a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at FRENCH – Westside. A Mass will be held Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Catholic Church, 5901 St. Joseph’s Avenue NW, Albuquerque, NM 87120, followed by a Graveside Service at 1:30 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 North Guadalupe Street, Santa Fe, New Mexico 87501. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in William’s name to the Wounded Warrior Project, www.woundedwarriorproject.org, or to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org.
