Bronze Star w/ V device, stood eyeball to eyeball with NVA sappers, and lived.
I didn't roll around in the mud like a grunt but sure know what killing feels like.
I just never thought I would have to explain every time Air Force came into the conversation so I just don't.
Don't consider myself a "hero" just someone who wanted to get home.
Sometimes it feels like just being a vet is cause for PTSD.
I understand what the other posts are saying, glad you all have come to terms,
I am still treading water, maybe someday. This is all I have to say.
