Subject: Request for Information - Pleiku AB (May 1966 - May 1967) 633 Air Police Squadron

Hello,
I was assigned to the 633rd Air Police Squadron in May 1966. I am writing this email to solicit information re-guarding an incident that occurred during my tour. Late one afternoon the base was put on alert due to VC activity near the perimeter that the AB shared with Camp Holloway. Approximately 20 guys and I jumped onto the back of a flatbed truck in the barracks area that was to take up to Central Security Control (CSC) where the armory was located so that we could pick up our weapons and move out to the perimeter to secure the base. The driver took a turn too fast and threw all of the people on the back of the truck onto the roadway. Many of us were hurt but we had to move to the perimeter so we got back onto the truck and continued to CSC. I need help from anyone who remembers this incident or was a part of the vehicle accident, that remembers the date, and any names of the people involved.
Any information will appreciated.
Thanks for your assistance.
