I know about the friendly Boston-Yankee Baseball rivalry, Bob. It all adds to the fun of the game. My now deceased wife and most of her family were from around Stoughton, Weymouth, Quincy and the general Blue Hills area. Some of my best baseball memories stem from watching games on TV in Massachusetts. For years I wondered why my son who lives in Portland, Maine raised a family who are big Red Sox fans. Then it dawned on me one day that the Red Sox team is the only Big League team near them. They go to Boston once in a great while just to see them play. I had driven by the backside of the "Green Monster" several times but never went in to watch a game. Maybe this year will be my year to go to see a Red Sox-Yankee game. Of course I will be wearing a "BOSOX" baseball cap.
