I agree this is the Vietnam Security Police Association. But, I am really surprized at the responses to Ed. We are proud of our service in Vietnam. We were there to help the South Vietnamese Government and their people to try and stop the spread of communism in that part of the World. The North was able to take over the South because of Politics not the service of those from the US. We did succeed in stopping the spread of communism in that part of the world, so we didn't lose. But, I had many QC friends, was invited to their homes, met their families. They fought for their country and died for their country. I personally have been invited by their QC Association to attend a 4th of July Celebration and their National convention in September in Houston. These men are now American Citizens. I really don't see the need for membership in VSPA, but I also don't see any reason why we cannot include them in some of our functions as Guests and former Brothers in Arms, as they have welcomed me. I am surprized and disappointed by the theme of dislike/distrust for these Men. But, then you know what they say about Opinions, and I guess mine is included. Ed, I hope your feeling of inclusion is welcomed in your Mini Reunion and I support any inclusion we can with these men in activities with VSPA, but I do believe they maintain their membership in the Association and We in Ours. By the Way the City of Austin has recognized the S. Vietnames Flag and I understand Houston is going to as well. I believe that is important for them, but moreso, it shows what we fought for many years ago and many died for, is being recognized more by our country. They are late in doing so, but our ribbon for service reflects the colors of their flag.
