I dont think I said anything derogatory about the Vietnamese QC other than the fact that I did see them at their little posts beside the road going into town and on their little motorcycles around town. If I did I apologize. Other than that I really know little about them . Ive seen and talked to them both at the Anniversary March and each yr. at Rolling Thunder in DC and have always gone out of my way to approach and thank them for their service with us .

Remember the question was should we allow the Vietnamese QC to join our group as members . Thats the way I took it anyway.I do know that in the past the mention of allowing ANY other groups who were involved with us to join our membership or our main reunions has brought about some serious arguments and hard feelings with some even leaving the membership because of it.


I like many others have felt that the VSPA was a special band of us USAF Security Skycops made up of us for us only which is unique and special. Does that mean we should Honor those who served with us also? I should say Yes. I see nothing wrong in inviting these like that to some of our functions as Honored Guests.

I personally was closer to the ROK troops we worked with at times on the Perimeter and the Aussie Guards on the flight line at Phan Rang than I was the Vietnamese QC and appreciate their service with us too. Like the QC Would I want any of them at our functions too, Sure I would but Would I want the membership of VSPA opened up to them either? No because I feel the VSPA is unique, something we can claim as our own and should stay that way until we are all gone as it was intended. sam
