I was never bombed, rocketed, or shot at and I never shot at anyone. I didn't get hazardous duty pay or combat pay. I don't qualify to join the VFW. I was scared a couple of times and some friends of mine were killed but I don't think of myself as a combat veteran and would never represent myself as one.
