Bud & Larry, sure do remember those 9&3's with training days, got to feel all we did is work. Remember driving home in my old 55 chevy and nearly running off the road after a mid trying to stay awake, also after swings feeding bottle to my oldest son so wife could sleep and the National Anthem and then the snow on TV. Money was tight in those days.Later as I got some rank managed to get into days as NCOIC of something, anything to work days. Later when I got commissioned and worked as Ops Officer seemed like I worked 24 hrs a day, always on call. But I would do all over again in a NY minute. Those were great days guys for all the work, it was the guys, our, troops, friendships that we still have today that made it special. Those were the best years of my life anything I did after that was just a job not a profession.HOOAH!!
