Steve, I think it is because of both issues, the present but even more so the past that you and I both had shared down at Binh Thuy especially from our shared experiences during TET of 1969 during both of the attacks where we had lost three of our brothers to the shelling in both attacks and then the nine who were wounded in both attacks also. Events with the current situations that are going on now in the present seem to trigger those memories from our own trials and our tribulations that we had faced down at Binh Thuy during our tour of duty there. I will take a couple of short cat naps during the day and spend most of the night down in our own basement listening to CD recordings with my good headphones on so it won't disturb Ellie while she's getting her rest for wo0rk the next day and I can drown out all those sounds I don't want to hear especially during the 4Th of July. I also agree with your descriptions of the different fire crackers and other fireworks relate to those sounds we all hated to hear at Binh Thuy. Hang in there my brother Steve!
