Mike Wheeler attended our reunion in Las Vegas in 1999 when his wife was our host commander as the commander of the 99th SFS. They were a great SF couple and made a huge difference in the quality of our reunion, especially with his Safeside service at Binh Thuy as a captain. He joined the VSPA while at the reunion and later left for Kuwait as a private contractor.

RIP Mike. Still a tough man and full of what we all knew as command presence...without ever having to tell you that he was an O6. It was great to know him.
