Subject: Ode to T/Sgt. Glenn Wilson

Ode To a Good Friend and Comrade in Arms
Glenn was his name,a friend and Comrade to too many to name.
He enlisted in the United States Air Force in nineteen fifty at the early age of seventeen.
He took the oath to uphold his county’s values as follows:
I, Glenn Wison do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States
against all enemies, foreign and domestic;
that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same;
and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the
officers appointed over me,
according to regulations and the
Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.
Over the next twenty years, Glenn followed this oath to the letter as he served as an Air Policeman in the United States Air Force.
He defended his country’s interest during the Cold War, Korean War and courgeosesly defended his country’s principles during the Vietnam War.
He was a Nocommissined Officer extraordinary as witnessed by all who served with him. He made logical, meaningful and fair decisions that stood fast for all.
He will be long remembered and missed by his family and Comrades in Arms.
Farewell my dear friend, may your spirit forever soar with eagles.
In the name of all the Airmen that had the privilege and pleasure of knowing you!
Your old jungle buddy,
Jackie
