• VSPA BX Store will be open as much as possible.
Two different couples from the VSPA have inspected this hotel. They have attended several reunions and are very familiar with our reunion requirements, including those for the Sisterhood. They met with the Reunion BRAT and the special event staff at the hotel/casino to ask extensive questions prior to agreeing to this contract. All of the questions were based upon comments and concerns from members who attended our last reunion. After two different inspections, the inspection teams feel that the Desert Diamond Casino and Hotel will be an outstanding venue for our reunion. The food is excellent, the rooms are very nice, and the areas for the BX and Hospitality Room are both easily accessible for all members while also providing enough space for our members.
Members who attended our last reunion also expressed concern regarding fatigue and the extended day while on base. Therefore, our planning for events will reduce the time on base Thursday, and offer an optional tour of the Pima Air & Space Museum and the Boneyard on Friday. Our goal is to provide an opportunity for a reunion with less physical demands and more time to visit with each other.
Due to time concerns and gaming laws, we will not be selling raffle tickets during the awards banquet. However, the raffle is vital to paying for all of the beverages and snacks in our Hospitality Room. Raffle tickets will be sold in the Hospitality Room and the BX and, thereby, reduce the time required for our banquet, allowing us to adjourn earlier.
If you have a question or need some more info about this reunion, please contact VSPA President Greg Cain firstname.lastname@example.org or VSPA Sisterhood President Sheila Cain email@example.com or, call them at (716) 771-1157. We hope to see you in TUCSON for our 24th Annual VSPA Reunion!
