Subject: A house...

How big of a house do two people need?
Rooms large enough to hide distractions.
Dinners eaten seperately, in front of numerous televisions,
hobbies taking time to spend the sunlight.

In the middle of the field,
we built this aggregate prison of the soul.
Many chambered rooms allow you to shutter up the windows,
much like the emotional confines of your heart.

In college years, we lived in a one room apartment
where the bed folded into the wall.
Hot plates and sink water could turn noodles
into celebration of chinese new year.

In close confines, there was nowhere to hide.
We had to talk to keep from going stir crazy in winter.
Now, our conversation consists of barely audible "good morning"s
as we pass to our seperate bathrooms.
