Subject: Naked Waiting

Naked Waiting

Scattered wings of weather,
Fresh water wept to alpine snow;
Inhale me in with
Thirsty breath.

I have slept
These years awaiting;
Fingers, hands,
Your skin in my palms
With naked waiting.

And the waves
In each window,
A lake!

I reach for the door
To pull aside branches
Enthralled with your scent.

In this rented city,
Your tourist town,
I attend a
Forgotten vacation.

With fall, and then winter
Lining my eyes,
Like another dry
River, turned to road.
