I don't pretend to know a thing
after the dives to drown
have taken on the curse
re-lit from sour pouts
or solar flares
that numb

Sliced in sixteenths
without linen
to tear at wrists
that drizzle
pink on olive

Someone tap tap taps
into this hard drive home
sleep escapes after the beg;
eyes that close on cue
then click click open
where crimson corners heal
with awareness of hidden will
to fail cast on shadows

If I should put pen to list
the misfortunes,
would it matter?
Would it bring a seized moment
back from the arctic zone
to dwell in the Sahara?
