I am a teacher and a history buff. I have found time and time again that the best way to introduce real history is to use the historical fiction. Many of my students became fascinated by Tudor England after seeing the Cate Blanchette movie about Elizabeth. The novels open the doors for many students who go on to become fascinated by the real history.
