blue patterned dishes -- British Empire

Subject: blue patterned dishes

Hi. I'm new to this. My mother passed away recently and left to me a couple dishes. One being a large platter and the other a gravy boat with lid. She told me they had belonged to an uncle of mine who had been in the British Bengal Lancers and this was the official pattern. It is a beautiful blue intricate design on white background. Does anyone out there know anything about these items?
